Housing – Foster Care – Truancy Prevention – District Resource Requests

Dr. Baker supports students and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability and students in foster care (including registration,
transportation, service linkage, and financial coaching), as well as the Get Connected Truancy Prevention Program that links mentors with students and families to reduce truancy. Dr. Baker also oversees community partnerships, including after school and summer programs, mental health and behavior supports, and other services for students and parents. This also includes the TPS Hubs that provide a number of services
for students, families, and community members.

Ms. Gabriela Rodríguez is the Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for the advocacy and support of students, families and school staff. She provides language assistance, through interpretation and translation services, and helps engage parents in their students' school environment. She also provides support to students on their path to graduation, and post-graduation assists students with pursuits of higher education, trades or other employment.

La Sra. Gabriela Rodríguez es la Coordinadora de Alcance Hispano para defender y apoyar a los estudiantes, las familias y el personal escolar. Proporciona asistencia lingüística a través de servicios de interpretación y traducción y ayuda a involucrar a los padres en el entorno escolar de sus alumnos. También brinda apoyo a los estudiantes en su camino hacia la graduación, y después de la graduación ayuda a los estudiantes en su búsqueda de educación superior, oficios u otros empleos.
