All TPS employees have access to a wide range of online and in-person district professional development.

Teacher Professional Development Opportunities

Professional Development Opportunity: TAAP Leadership Academy

Yearly, the TAAP Leadership Academy provides around 375 new and veteran administrators with opportunities to grow professionally and individually.

Newly appointed administrators become part of the Administrative Performance Program (APP) and they will receive a seasoned administrator to serve as their mentor. APP mentors and mentees are required to attend monthly professional development series that focus on developing instructional leadership skills.

Quarterly, both seasoned and newly appointed administrators are invited to attend professional learning sessions called “Nuts and Bolts”. These learning sessions focus on building leadership skills. TAAP Leadership also offers professional learning opportunities through the online professional learning program, for those who would like to be future principals and the TAAP Leadership Academy offers educational classes through Bowling Green State University.
